House training a dog can be a frustrating process, but it doesn’t have to be. I have heard people say that they wish they could just throw them outside, and they would figure it out themselves. How awful! Would you say that about a child? NO…
Unfortunately, it’s not easy; however, with a bit of patience, perseverance, and lots of love, I mean lots of love and tenderness, you and your new friend will make it through the process. Just remember: This, too, shall pass. And keep a smile on your face, because if you do, your little puppy will sense your frustration and respond negatively to it, just like a child would.
So, if you do a couple things as you look at the seemingly hopeless situation, you just may make it through unscathed, and not have to replace your expensive carpeting, after all. the potential to turn your very expensive if you are again forced to replace your carpet.
First of all,
1. Remember that you knew house training a dog was not easy or fun. It was your choice to get a a puppy, and he is being just that-A Puppy.
2. Remember that your puppy won’t stay a puppy for long. They will get the hang of it-I assure you.
3. That pup will be your best friend for a long time, and all the puppy training will be so worth it.
So look into those big beautiful eyes, and just let them know you love them. Know that all is well, and you will have so much fun with them in the years to come.
Have a great day,
Lynn
